Gardens Edge
Total installation is 2m tall and 10m wide
Gardens Edge’ looks out onto an uneasy scene of five children, one sleeping and four at play, oblivious of each other, entirely independent and unaware of each other and the single adult woodsman attending to the tree in the garden. The children’s archetypal personalities make their autonomous existence easier as they are childlike and godlike giving their presence a surety and a vulnerability. The children happily exist with the foxes and other woodland creatures in the garden.
Colour is about to emerge into their world in the corners and edges.
